What do you need? Any car, a co-driver, a stopwatch, a ballpoint pen, sticky notes, a good mood, and registration. Prior knowledge doesn't hurt, but it is not a requirement. I and many others will be happy to provide information before the start. What is it about? Driving will follow the same rules as purebred vintage car rallies, and the same types of tests will occur—timing tests, passage controls, and time controls, but no average speed tests (Schnittprüfungen)! All types of clocks and watches are permitted—analog, digital, hourglasses, and sundials. You are also welcome to drive with a cell phone, tablet, or laptop. If you think it's good for you, please go ahead. GPS is also allowed, but it won't provide any advantages. Where, please? The start and finish are at Mazda Mayer in St. Pölten. Four timing tests will also take place in this area. Between these tests, you will head to another location, each time for another timing test. Then you will drive again, and along the way, certain waypoints (passage controls) must be visited, and the next test must be reached within a specified time window (time controls). Don't worry, these time controls don't have to be hit down to the exact 1/100th of a second, but within a much more generous timeframe. It is "only" about 1/100ths of a second in the timing tests.
